Our headlights and replacement parts are manufactured using high-quality raw material, ABS (PA-709) – Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). ABS combines the strength and rigidity of acrylonitrile and styrene polymers with the toughness of polybutadiene rubber. While the production cost of ABS is approximately twice that of polystyrene, it is considered superior due to its hardness, gloss, strength, and electrical insulation properties. ABS also has strong resistance to corrosion from chemicals and/or physical impacts. It is very easy to machine, lightweight, and has a low melting point, making it particularly easy to use in injection molding processes. Metal coatings adhere excellently to ABS.

Polypropylene (PP)
We also use another highly beneficial raw material, polypropylene (PP). Polypropylene is a very useful plastic for injection molding. Despite its semi-crystalline nature, polypropylene is easy to mold and flows very well due to its low viscosity in the molten state. This property significantly improves the speed at which a mold can be filled with the material. Polypropylene shrinkage is approximately 1-2%, but this can vary depending on several factors, including sustained pressure, holding time, melt temperature, mold wall thickness, mold temperature, and the percentage and type of additives.
Polycarbonate (PC)
Polycarbonate (PC) plastics are naturally transparent, amorphous thermoplastics. Although commercially available in a variety of colors, the raw material allows for internal light transmission almost as high as glass. Polycarbonate is an incredibly useful plastic for applications requiring transparency and high impact resistance. It is a lighter alternative to glass and a natural UV filter, so it is often used in light diffusers and lenses for lightweight parts. Polycarbonate also has very good heat resistance and can be combined with flame-retardant materials without significant material degradation. Polycarbonate plastics are engineering plastics in that they are typically used for more capable and robust materials, such as impact-resistant glass surfaces.
Our standardized machinery and excellent technical expertise help us manufacture high-quality spare parts. Our factory has its own mold workshop for reconditioning and developing new molds. After injection molding and painting, all parts are assembled and the quality is further checked.

The following diagram shows the relative impact resistance of polycarbonate compared to the impact resistance of other commonly used plastics, such as ABS, PS, or nylon.

1. Paint adhesion test:
A scoring pattern is made across the film down to the substrate. Loose flakes of the coating are removed with a soft brush. Pressure-sensitive tape is applied over the cross-scored cut. The tape is gently positioned using a pencil eraser over the incised area. The tape is removed by quickly pulling it back on itself at a 180° angle. Adhesion is evaluated on a scale of 0 to 5. [0 - More than 65% of area removed and 5 - 0% of area removed]

2. Tensile strength test:
The sample is molded into a dog-bone-shaped tensile bar, which is clamped at both ends with a tensile testing device. The tensile machine pulls the bar at a constant rate until it breaks into two pieces. The force above the mark indicating how much the bar is stretched is measured continuously during the test. The tensile strength (stretch) is calculated by dividing the maximum load on the original cross-sectional area of the stretched test bar by the original length of the bar.
